Tessellation Basics booklet now available - free PDF! August 15th, 2007
Well, I had all the best intentions to add more content to this booklet - but it’s hard for me not to just put in all the material from my book! So I’m posting it now in the same format that I used at the Origami USA convention this summer.
This document is just a small taste of the material from the book, put together from some of the draft work and preliminary writings. The final product is quite lengthier and more detailed, as well as more polished. (Editors are very good at taking text like mine and making it readable!)
This 8 page booklet is meant to be printed on 11×17 (or A3, in a pinch) double-sided- so it can be folded into a proper booklet shape.
I had a lot of fun putting this together- thanks again to Jamie and Jeff for helping me to create and format this document!

This is a great introduction! Will do some folding this evening…
And I’m looking forward to the book, can’t wait to get it.

Hi Ben - The book is currently at the printer’s, I don’t have any hard ship dates yet but I am working on getting that information. From my understanding it is to be available this fall.
Amazon lists it as being available Jan 1, 2008, but I think that’s just a filler date they put into the wholesaler’s catalog way back when- just like the cover image shown is not the actual cover of the book. I expect it to be available earlier than that.
Of course once I have hard data on all of this I will post something here as well as on the O-list, OUSA list, etc.

Thanks for the download! I recently put together an origami for beginners book and I’d like to get to know more about what you do. I know I’ll enjoy it.

Hello,
I really like your origami website. From the first time I saw some of those amazing origamis, I was inspired to start making origami my self. So, I started an origami blog http://www.blogorigami.com . Right now I have created a few origami guides for beginners, and I hope to add more content soon. I was wondering if you could add a link to my blog on your site?
thanks,
I have also added a link to your site from my site on my links page.
