Well, I folded a bit as a kid, but just basic things (cranes, frogs, and the like.)
I’ve been “seriously” folding since about October of 2004; I’ve been folding tessellations for about a year or so, maybe less. This is all still pretty new to me, really. I have been pushing myself to keep expanding the horizons of what I can fold; acquiring new technical chops is important, but so is broadening my knowledge base. Right now I’m still very new, so I have a long way to go to feel comfortable with my skill levels.
But it’s a lot of fun, and I’m glad I found a kind of origami that really speaks to me. It’s the only thing I’ve actually felt excited to fold, so I feel that’s a goodness all around.

how long have you been folding origami?
