Saw this on crib candy.
“it design” has this folding cardboard futon platform- I can’t say how comfortable it is, but the idea is very slick. I love things with pleats, recyclable materials, and innovative shaping/packaging…

actually this really reminds me of a tesselation like thing that i need to get around to posting up
mine is alot more complicated…but looks better ^_~
also it can hold up ALOT of weight…
i think one of the original made from a letter size sheet of paper (6.5in.x4.5 in.x0.25in) held up around 22-25 pounds…eventually i had to stop because the book at the bottom bent too far and touched the table…
hummmmmm, maybe I’ll get one (or 2) for july…;-)
I have a queen-sized air mattress that I could bring with us, if that would make things easier!
Much more trustworthy than folded up cardboard.
There’s a big gap between theoretically useful, and practically useful 🙂
well take the original tesselation then fold that as if it was a normal square sheet of paper…
so this is 2 layers thick…
i dont know if i will attempt at making a 3 layer one…
maybe…but not definate
If that matress doesn’t take up much space in your luggage, then I think it’s a good idea to bring it.
